activa44 What can I say: it's really great crust-stained death metal (or death-tinged crust, depending how you look at it). It gives me Left Hand Path vibes but with a more prominent crust feeling. No wonder these guys are/were great: they cite Bolt Thrower, Grave and two of my favourite bands (Entombed and Repulsion!) as influences and they're groundbreaking stenchcore. Favorite track: Midnight Sun.

(MES - 07: Stagnation "2027 EP" 7" ) 5 tracks of perfectly executed old school death metal influenced crust. 2nd release from the band with even more crusher riffs and greatly improved drumming due to a switch in drummers after the first release. Recorded back in 2008 and just now seeing the vinyl it deserves. Metal for the punks by punks in the vein of Grave, Entombed, Prophecy of Doom, Repulsion, and Bolt Thrower with a more straight forward punk approach. Released in the era of Stormcrow and Sanctum and definitely holding their weight against their peers. A Fenriz "band of the week" who also received praise in the liner notes of "The Underground Resistance". Released 400 black and 100 clear.
